Ever wondered how the Franchise Tax Board investigates unregistered tax preparers? The requirements CTEC education providers must meet to get approved? Or how CTEC requirements will mix with new IRS regulations?
These are just a few of many the issues discussed at each CTEC board meeting. CRTPs who would like to find out more or get their own questions answered are invited to attend.
The CTEC Provider Task Force is also set to meet the same week. Many education providers use this time as a chance to give CTEC committee members feedback on policy revisions, CRTP issues or technical problems. IRS representatives will also be there to discuss its new requirements.
The Provider Task Force Meeting is set for Wednesday afternoon, May 19th. CTEC committee meetings will begin on Thursday morning, May 20th. After the committees meet, the entire CTEC Board of Directors will meet on Friday, May 21st.

Does anybody know if there is a health insurance group for us self-employed CTEC people. Crazy expensive trying to get health ins. privately. A group is always buying=power better. Any suggestions???
